The annual conference of the Society for Disability Studies is a gathering place for hundreds of international scholars, students, artists, activists, and others interested in disability studies. Among other things, the SDS conference provides a venue that allows participants to discuss latest research findings in a variety of interdisciplinary fields that span from law to literature. The annual conference also allows writers, artists, and performers the opportunity to showcase their work. It is also a place where activists and others interested in disability can learn and share their practical experiences with one another.
